Our Commitment

Land Acknowledgement and Commitment

Honouring the sovereignty, histories, and enduring relationships Indigenous Peoples have with the lands and waters where we live, work, and provide care.

Our Acknowledgement

Thrive at Home Care respectfully acknowledges that our head office is located in Edmonton, Alberta, on the traditional territory of the Nêhiyaw (Cree), Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Nakoda (Stoney), Dene, Anishinaabe (Ojibway/Saulteaux), Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), and Métis Peoples. We recognize that these lands are now known as part of Treaties 6, 7, and 8 and the homeland of the Métis.

As a home care provider serving communities throughout Alberta, we recognize that our work takes place on the traditional territories and homelands of many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples. We honour the sovereignty, histories, languages, cultures, knowledge systems, and enduring relationships Indigenous Peoples have with these lands and waters.

We acknowledge that Indigenous Peoples have cared for their families, Elders, and communities since time immemorial. We recognize the strength, resilience, and wisdom of Indigenous Peoples and the importance of culturally safe, person-centred care that respects each individual's values, traditions, and choices.

At Thrive at Home Care, reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility. We are committed to listening with humility, learning continuously, building meaningful and respectful relationships, and working alongside Indigenous individuals, families, communities, and partners to improve access to compassionate, equitable, and culturally responsive home care services throughout Alberta. Through our actions, we strive to honour the dignity of every person we serve and contribute to healthier, more inclusive communities for generations to come.
